How to Delete Your Dolyst Account

Important Warning
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including tasks, habits, progress, and rewards will be permanently removed from our servers.
Account Deletion Process
Follow these steps to delete your Dolyst account:
Step 1: Access Your Profile

After logging into the Dolyst app, tap on the profile icon located in the bottom navigation bar or in the top-right corner of the screen.

The profile icon typically shows your avatar or a silhouette if you haven’t set a profile picture.
Step 2: Open Account Settings

In your profile page, scroll down to find and tap on “Account Settings” or the gear icon. This will take you to your account management options.

You might need to scroll to the bottom of your profile page to find the settings option.
Step 3: Find Delete Account Option

Scroll to the bottom of the Account Settings screen. At the very bottom, you’ll find the “Delete Account” option highlighted in red.
⚠️ Warning
The delete option is intentionally placed at the bottom to prevent accidental deletion.
Step 4: Confirm Deletion

After tapping “Delete Account,” a confirmation dialog will appear. You’ll need to:
- Enter your password to verify your identity
- Type “DELETE” in the confirmation field
- Tap the “Permanently Delete My Account” button

This action is irreversible. Once confirmed, all your data will be permanently deleted.
Step 5: Deletion Complete

After confirmation, you’ll see a message confirming that your account deletion process has begun. Your account and data will be completely removed from our systems within 30 days, though most data is deleted immediately.

You’ll receive a confirmation email that your account deletion request has been received.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover my account after deletion?
No, once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. All your data will be permanently removed. We recommend exporting your data before deletion if you want to keep a record.
How long does it take to delete my account?
Most data is deleted immediately. Some data may remain in our backup systems for up to 30 days before being completely purged.
What happens to my purchases if I delete my account?
Any in-app purchases or premium subscriptions will be lost. Cancel active subscriptions through your app store before deletion.
Can I just temporarily disable my account instead?
Yes, select “Deactivate Account” in Settings. You can reactivate by logging in again within 90 days.
Will my data be deleted from all devices?
Yes, though you may need to clear the app cache on your devices to remove locally stored data.
